It’s much better to just charge to 80% and then charge to 80% again a couple hundred miles later.

This is a typical Kia Niro EV charging speed graph (this varies from EV to EV but the pattern is generally the same). The speed peaks at around 10%, starts to slow down at around 40%, gradually drops off until around 80% at which point it *dramatically* drops off.
