Since this is getting some attention, here's some details about the FIRST trip above (NYC to L.A.).
IMPORTANT: This is based on my 2022 Kia Niro EV; most newer EVs can fast charge 2-3x faster (even 4x faster in some cases) and have longer ranges (perhaps 250 miles between charges vs. my 200 miles)

Drive time only: ~43 hours Charging time: ~11 hours (includes bathroom breaks, stretching legs, getting snacks etc) Electricity used: ~754 kWh Cost of electricity: based on nat'l avg fast charge rate of $0.42/kWh, around $315
