On laptop, full tiling like i3/sway. I hate inserting a mouse to use a laptop, which tiling lets me avoid.
On desktop, tiling’s good but doesn’t really feel like a requirement. Something like COSMIC where you can choose between both works better.

Back in the days when I used a laptop, I would have really needed tiling window managers. Wish I knew this in 2010 or so.
