Wouldn't "at the research center where they study plague" be literally the best possible place for it to happen. Like they already know exactly what to do. They've been studying it. I imagine if I were like, head of a software company, or shift manager at a Tim Hortons. And somebody died of the plague. I bet I'd botch that whole situation. I'd be totally unprepared for it.
