Someone once explained to me that the reason companies like Google turn to shit is beyond a certain scale they can only grow by hiring the people their competitors are most willing to let go, and I think about that a lot.

@rmi@cloudisland.nz Nah, I stand by my 1997 assessment, there are people who want to go make a company successful, and there are people who want to get paid by a successful company. That switch flips at somewhere over 200 employees.
