Every year, I try to visit at least one of the #EuropeanCapitalofCulture s. This year that is #Oulu in Finland and #Trenčin in Slovakia. I hope to manage both this year! (Haven’t figured it all out quite yet but do ask Fedi or me for hints in case you want to visit, too.)

Oulu to Trenčin, okay-chill, in 3 days: Train Oulu to Helsinki 7:49 to 13:39 or later Spend night on ferry Helsinki to Tallinn, 20:30 arrive 6:00 (Viking). Train Tallinn to Vilnius, 10:10 to 21:01 or bus 10:00 to 19:05 Spend night in Vilnius. Train Vilnius to Trenčin via Mockava, Warsaw, Bohumin, Zilina 6:27 to 20:20 (Could add two hours of sleep by overnighting in Kaisiadorys, dep 7:13) 🧃

@kupfers@mastodon.social ooooh! Could definitely be tempted to swing by Trenčin at some point in September or October (visiting Romania again round then and heading to Warsaw for TramEM), will keep an eye out for the results of your investigations. ✔️🙇🏻
