Driving in a gas car at 30 MPG would be around 93 gallons of gas x ~$4.37/gallon (nat'l average today) or ~$407 in gas. In summary: EV: 54 hours (includes bathroom breaks during charging stops), $315 in electricity Gas car: 43 hours (not including bathroom breaks), $407 in gas

  • If you throw in another hour or so to the gas car for bathroom breaks, stretching your legs etc it'd be more like: EV: 54 hours, $315 Gas: 44 hours, $407 Of course newer EVs can charge up to 2-3x faster than my 2022 Kia Niro, so that 54 hours could be more like 48 - 49 hours total.
