Question for my type curious friends… can anyone recommend a good bitmap font editor?
Can be straight black and white, color, or whatever… Need something better than this beauty

@benfry@information.garden The bitmap editor in FontForge is not terrible. Less frustrating than the vector editor, IMO. Can you say more about what you're looking for? E.g., I know there's a number of bitmap editors that originated from the video-game-retro-enthusiast crowd. Bits-n-Picas, gBDFed, Fontraption, pixel_font... surely some more that I can't find in my notes. I have not put any of those through their paces, though (games are not my scene). Have you tried any of those & found significant dealbreakers?
