The 2 year old looking over my shoulder as I read an article and notices things moving: "What's that?" "It's an ad" "What are ads for?" Fuck, now I have to explain capitalism

Took the top off of my daughter's lego table and moved it onto something with a proper amount of storage because all of my Legos are hers now and there are a lot. Honestly would have been better off buying this drawer in the first place and gluing some base plates to the top.

Cargo bikes are fun Helped move a tree that was in a tree pit that's going to be cleared out and filled with flowers tomorrow. #carryshitolympics #nyc #brooklyn #tree #bikeNYC

@Laztheinfamous@dice.camp I had an idea for an image which was pretty much perfect for an image generator prompt and decided that was not going to happen. After a few months of thinking about it, I ended up grabbing some pencils and paper and drawing it then scanning it, learning a bunch about Inkscape to clean it up and getting it printed on a toddler t-shirt. It's one of my favorite things I've made.

RE: https://masto.nyc/@gbargoud/116518727035996423 This is tomorrow! I just got the @iFixit set of every screwdriver ever made because someone brought a coffee machine last time that was using some stupid triangle screws. #repaircafe #brooklyn #nyc

@Lkdc I only got my US citizenship in my 20s so I know the Schengen area through the visa I would have to get to travel to Europe which is no longer a concern to me since my US passport lets me in visa free now. I think not needing that visa has made USAians less familiar with the term than people in other countries.

@Njord A hard part about this question is that the options are not mutually exclusive. Useful in limited cases can easily also mean "worse than useless in other cases"

A successful #repaircafe repair The little plastic stud that holds the strap on this foot seat fell off so now there's a bolt in there to hold it down.

Woohoo, I'm now hosting a weekly repair cafe at Principles GI Coffee House in Brooklyn: http://principlesbk.nyc Does anyone who has hosted some have advice for things to do when starting out like what tools to bring for the first day or how to manage expectations when someone brings something that i definitely cannot fix? #Brooklyn #NYC #repaircafe

@Tattooed_Mummy@beige.party Business fines though should be a multiplier on the money saved or gained by breaking the law

@charlotte I can't tell if "hand problems" is deliberate or not. The cumulative days I spent hunting down a bug which was a 1 character typo say "probably"

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange On a brighter note, did you see Norman Finklestein's email in the files? He effectively CC'd Epstein on an email where he said that Epstein and Dershowitz should be throttled which is a level of spite for people who deserve it that I aspire to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norman_Finkelstein
