  The entirety of transphobia from crude jokes to direct violence is a systematic attempt to scare trans people into hiding and to eliminate the ones who persist.   A lot of people seem to think that because trans people had nothing not that long ago that we'll be happy with nothing now. And first of all, we didn't have nothing.
