  I think I’m just in a mood recently. If it were possible and the leadership weren’t incompetently failing upward, I feel like big corps would happily subsidize the entire grocery industry if it could keep their employees poor, dependent, and powerless. I’m not saying it couldn’t work, even in the US. I’m just saying to make sure your measures are air-fucking-tight and not manipulated by industry when they are being decided.

  I have somewhat similar concerns. I'm not as worried about sanitized Linux as I am about new mandates entrenching Microsoft, Apple, and Google as the only valid options. Even it it is an enormous pain in the ass for everyone, including those big three, it would infinitely preferably for them to more widespread adoption of alternatives.
